Flickering between good and evil never lasts. Only repentance and remorse can endure. Only when you let go of fixating on good and bad can you abide in your true, unchanging nature. Instead, turn your mind only to reverence, faith, the twin blessings of merit and wisdom, repentance, and the grace of the Triple Gem. Practice this way, and you won’t fall into the delusion that weighing actions as good or bad is a rejection of the Triple Gem when things don’t go your way. After all, clinging to self-centered judgments of good and bad, cut off from the innate nature of the Triple Gem, is itself unwholesome.
