The Qiankun Fanyuan Huichun Secret (Returning to the Source and Rejuvenating through Heaven and Earth) is a set of male cultivation methods secretly transmitted within our lineage. The practice is simple yet profoundly effective: after about ten days, one will typically feel the dantian growing hot and distended, the perineum pulsing, the penis becoming erect, and a gradual sense of being transformed from the inside out—body and mind renewed from within. Physical strength and sexual ability soar to unprecedented heights, and within just 36 days you can swiftly reach a state of essence full and un-leaking, hardness and softness responsive to your will, and complete mastery of contraction and release. Marital relations will not interfere with martial training, and the method is especially effective in addressing impotence, premature ejaculation, prostatitis, and low libido. With long-term practice, one can attain a realm where white hair turns black, fallen teeth regrow, cold and heat cannot penetrate, and the skin becomes as tender as a child's.
Practice Methods
Preparatory Posture: Purifying the Body and Expelling the Impure
Practice daily, from after sunrise until one hour before sunset. Choose a secluded place where the air is fresh. Face the sun and stand upright, feet shoulder-width apart and parallel, knees slightly bent. Both hands hang naturally at the outer sides of the thighs. The Baihui point (Hundred Convergences, at the crown of the head) is gently lifted upward; the chin is slightly drawn in. The Baihui and Huiyin (perineum) points should align on a single vertical line, with the center of gravity resting at the midpoint of the line connecting the Yongquan (Gushing Spring) points beneath the soles of both feet.
Requirements:
- Head: The head is the ruler of the body, the chief of the six yang. Hold it upright, gently lifted upward, the neck straight, the chin slightly drawn in. Achieve a light, upward guidance of the crown.
- Eyes: The eyes are the windows of the heart, the dwelling of spirit. Keep the gaze steady; as the eyelids close, the vision draws inward. The eyes appear as if a curtain hangs before them—luminous yet silent, inner radiance gathered and concealed.
- Ears: Calm the heart and even the breath; settle the spirit to listen to the respiration.
- Mouth and Nose: The mouth is slightly open, as if smiling yet not smiling. Breathing occurs through the nose, in and out, subtle and silent.
- Teeth and Tongue: The teeth meet naturally, without force. The tongue lightly touches the upper palate.
- Shoulders and Elbows: Relax the shoulders; let the elbows hang. Shoulders stay level, never raised; elbows drop and hang in suspension.
- Chest and Abdomen: Contain the chest and lift the back; the lower abdomen draws inward. "Containing the chest" means the front of the chest is slightly drawn inward. "Lifting the back" means the spine is naturally upright and firm. The abdomen draws inward not through tension of the abdominal muscles but so the chest and abdomen form a line.
- Waist and Hips: Relax the waist; the muscles on either side let go. Loosen the sacral joints of the hips.
- Crotch and Knees: Round the crotch; the scrotum should not touch the inner skin of the thighs. The knees relax and bend slightly.
- Feet: Both feet rest flat on the ground, the body's weight distributed evenly between them, never leaning to one side. The soles naturally contain a sense of emptiness. The big toes point gently forward; the other four toes feel as if they are gripping the ground.
Do not force any of the above. Attend to them as if present yet absent, letting them form gradually through practice. Rushing will hinder your entry into stillness.
After adjusting the posture, gather the mind; let spirit and body settle into stillness. Visualize a stream of milky-white, pure, warm spring water that pours down from the crown of the head and washes through the entire body, seeping from top to bottom through the soles of the feet and three feet into the earth. Coordinate this with the exhale (the inhale happens on its own). As the spring water cleanses the entire body, intend that all illness, troubles, impurities, and suffering within the body... flow away with the spring water into the earth, ceasing to exist, leaving the whole body pure. Perform this Purifying the Body and Expelling the Impure nine times. The entire body will feel light, the spirit joyful, the eyes clear, and the body will settle into a state of comfortable freshness, warm throughout. Then proceed to the next practice.
While practicing Purifying the Body and Expelling the Impure, keep the intention light throughout—neither forgetting nor assisting, present yet absent, vague and indistinct, hazy and dim. If the intention grows too heavy, or you worry excessively about illness or other concerns, turbid qi will not be fully expelled and clear qi will not enter in sufficient measure. With a moderate level of intention, you will feel a comfort beyond description.
One. Adding Oil and Extending Life (Tianyou Jieming)
Stand facing the sun (the essentials and key points are the same as the preparatory posture). Gather the mind; let spirit and body settle. The muscles of the entire body relax, the eyes lower as if a curtain hangs before them, the tip of the tongue lightly touches the upper palate, and breathing occurs through the nose, in and out, soft and natural. When inhaling, intend that the sun gathers and condenses into an egg-sized sun, which enters the body through the Baihui point at the crown of the head, descending vertically from Baihui through the Danzhong point, passing the Jiuwei point to the dantian. When the inhale is at its fullest, hold the breath. Intend that the small sun in the lower dantian radiates golden light brilliantly, mirroring the sun in the sky. Hold the breath until you can no longer bear it, then slowly exhale, intending that the sun's light energy gradually fills and moistens the entire lower abdomen. After repeating this thirty-six times, on the inhale, intend that the sun's light energy in the lower dantian slowly descends to the perineum and prostate. On the exhale, intend that the light energy at the perineum and prostate passes through the Weilu, crosses the Mingmen (Gate of Vitality), and reaches the dantian. After repeating this thirty-six times, on the exhale, intend that the sun's light energy in the lower dantian slowly reaches the testicles, filling them completely. On the inhale, gather the sun's light energy from the testicles back to the lower dantian. On the next exhale, intend that the sun's light energy slowly pours from the lower dantian into the penis (at this point, most practitioners will feel the penis become distended and erect—this is normal, no need for alarm). On the inhale, gather the sun's light energy from the penis back to the lower dantian. After practicing this thirty-six times, hold your intention on the lower dantian for five to ten minutes, then close the practice.
To close the practice, place one hand over the other, with the Laogong point (Labor Palace) of the left palm pressed against the navel, right hand resting on the back of the left hand. Using the navel as the center, rotate gently clockwise in a spiral from the center outward, eighteen to thirty-six times at an even pace. Then switch to counterclockwise, spiraling inward from the outside, eighteen to thirty-six times at an even pace. Next, rub the palms of both hands together until warm, then lightly wipe the face eighteen times. Relax the muscles of the whole body, take a few dozen slow steps, and the practice is complete.
Two. Returning Dragon and Restoring Vigor (Huilong Fuzhuang)
This practice is exclusively for married men; unmarried youth should not practice it. After practicing Adding Oil and Extending Life, one may proceed directly to the third practice, the Secret of Locking Essence and Securing Yang.
It is best done in the bathroom at home or in one's own bedroom, where others won't see and gossip.
Sit upright on the edge of a chair, body straight, both feet flat on the ground, shoulder-width apart. Expose the lower body so it can relax and expand. The other essentials are as in the preparatory posture. Relax the entire body and sit quietly for a moment. Bring your attention to the penis, but do not channel dantian qi into it. Then lift the Huiyin (perineum) upward and slowly tighten the anus. Breathing should be soft and natural. On the inhale, lift the Huiyin and tighten the anus; you will see the penis rise slightly. On the exhale, relax the penis, Huiyin, and anus. Repeat the "lift, contract, raise" action in this way. After thirty-six repetitions, rub the hands together until warm, then stroke the penis until erect. Keep your attention on the penis. Next, use the left thumb to gently rub the glans; the remaining four fingers squeeze and release the penis thirty-six times. Then perform the "lift, contract, raise" action again, repeating it thirty-six times. After these thirty-six repetitions, qi and blood will have filled the entire penis. Only then may the sun's light energy from the dantian be slowly channeled into the penis. Then, with the middle finger of the right hand, press the Huiyin point. The left hand grasps the entire penis (grip: the thumb beneath to support the shaft, the remaining four fingers wrapping around it), with the web between thumb and index finger facing the body. Then the four fingers use slight force to bend the penis downward, while performing the "lift, contract, raise" action. Release the penis; stimulated, it will rebound to a near-erect state. Do this thirty-six times. Then move the hand to the middle of the shaft and to the glans, each for thirty-six times. Following the same pattern, bend the penis to the right and to the left, each with the same action thirty-six times, then close the practice.
The method for closing the practice is the same as above.
Most people who practice this will, within five to fifteen days, experience a significant increase in sexual ability, the penis becoming firm and strong—and your partner will feel the difference most.
Three. Locking Essence and Securing Yang (Suojing Gu'yang)
Stand with the feet shoulder-width apart and parallel, body upright, both hands hanging naturally at the outer sides of the thighs. The Baihui point lifts upward, the chin slightly drawn in. The Baihui and Huiyin points align on a single vertical line, with the center of gravity resting at the midpoint of the line connecting the Yongquan points beneath both feet. The other essentials are as in the preparatory posture. Relax the entire body. Hold your intention on the dantian for five to ten minutes. Slowly channel the light energy of the dantian into the Huiyin. Then inhale. While inhaling, hold your intention on the Huiyin point, clench both hands into fists, clench the teeth tightly, and grip the ground forcefully with the toes of both feet, as if rooted in the earth. Simultaneously, with the inhale, slowly lift and contract the anus, Huiyin, and penis upward, as if restraining the urge to urinate or defecate (note: when lifting upward, the thighs and buttocks must be squeezed tightly together to prevent energy leakage; the upward contraction should center on the anus, Huiyin, and penis—not on the abdominal muscles). When the inhale is at its fullest and the anus, Huiyin, and penis are lifted to their highest point, hold the breath for a moment. Maintain this state. Intend that the light energy of the Huiyin slowly rises along the Du vessel (Governing Vessel) to the Baihui point. When the breath-hold can no longer be sustained, intend that the light energy descends from Baihui along the Ren vessel (Conception Vessel) slowly to the dantian, while simultaneously releasing the anus, releasing the Huiyin, and relaxing the hands, feet, and the entire body, returning to the preparatory posture (note: over the course of thirty-six days, gradually extend the breath-holding time from ten seconds to about one minute, according to what feels comfortable). Then inhale again to the Huiyin point, lifting and contracting the anus, Huiyin, and penis; then hold the breath; then exhale. Repeat in this way thirty-six times, then close the practice. The method for closing the practice is the same as above.
Auxiliary Practices
1. Standing Intermittent Urination Method
When urinating each day, rise onto the toes, clench the teeth tightly, contain the chest and lift the back, and bend the knees slightly. When roughly a quarter of the urine has been released, abruptly stop the flow, lift and contract the anus, Huiyin, and penis, and hold the breath. Silently count to ten, then resume urination while exhaling, relaxing the whole body. When about half the urine has been released, abruptly stop the flow again and repeat the above. Do this four or five times. This practice strengthens essence and consolidates the kidneys. If you adopt this method of standing on tiptoe with interrupted urination each time, within about a month you will feel your kidney function strengthened and your energy abundant.
2. Little Finger Water-Kettle Lifting Method
Use the little fingers of the left and right hands separately to lift a water kettle from the ground. First, use the left little finger to lift the kettle thirty-six times; then use the right little finger to lift it thirty-six times. Lifting a kettle with the little fingers can prevent or treat kidney disease, diabetes, frequent or urgent urination, impotence, and premature ejaculation. The kettle must be made of metal—aluminum, iron, or copper are all acceptable. The amount of water in the kettle should be appropriate and can be gradually increased.
3. Knee-Walking Method
Once a day, kneel and walk on your knees, moving counterclockwise in nine circles. Knee-walking can prevent or treat impotence, premature ejaculation, low libido, knee arthritis, leg conditions, kidney disease, cystitis, diabetes, abdominal pain, and abdominal distension.
The Qiankun Fanyuan Huichun Secret can be practiced all three steps in one session, or divided and practiced separately according to your own situation. The practice is simple yet profoundly effective: in general, sexual ability is enhanced after ten days; in about thirty-six days, one can reach a state of essence full and un-leaking and complete mastery of contraction and release. It is also especially effective for impotence, premature ejaculation, low libido, and nocturnal emissions.
Practice Precautions
In qigong training, follow the basic principles of practice, but adjust the work to suit your own constitution and condition. This allows you to avoid detours, prevent deviations, and achieve results with half the effort.
1. Before and After Practice
(1) Practitioners should cease vigorous physical and mental activity (such as running, jumping, boxing, playing chess, or playing cards) twenty minutes before practice, so the muscles can relax, the mind can settle, and breathing and intention can be adjusted smoothly. Attend to urination and defecation before practice.
(2) Before practice, set aside worries and cultivate a happy mood. If something upsetting happens, try to comfort yourself and regain emotional balance. If troubling matters cannot be set aside, suspend practice for the time being, or go outside for a slow walk to redirect the mind. Do not force yourself to practice.
(3) Before practice, loosen clothing and belts so the muscles can relax and breathing can flow freely.
(4) Whether you practice stillness, movement, or a blend of the two, always close the practice properly. A careful closing enhances the effects of qigong and helps prevent deviations. When the closing is done well, you will feel relaxed and comfortable and will gain better results.
2. Precautions During Practice
(1) Choosing a suitable environment goes a long way toward good qigong practice. This matters most for practices that require deep stillness, which are especially sensitive to surroundings. A quiet setting, soft light, comfortable temperature, and fresh air all help you settle into stillness. Look for these when choosing where to practice.
(2) Practice time can be arranged flexibly according to your schedule, constitution, work, and rest. If you are ill, set work aside for a while, reduce daily concerns, and focus on your practice.
